Were in the DOUBLE-0 Decade

"WASHINGTON, D.C. - What decade comes to mind when you think of James Bond? The Cold War peaked in the '60s and Bond reigned supreme at the box office, but according to a new poll, the first decade of the new millennium should be dubbed the "Double O's."

The survey of 318 Americans found that 20.4 percent think the new decade should be named after the British secret agent. The "2 K's" came in second.

MKKBB generally does not take a formal position on matters of general interest to the world's population, but we will make an exception in this case: Call the next decade the "Double O's!" Why? It sounds cooler than the "The Zeros," "The Naughts," and "The Double Zs."

The decade will also mark the 50th anniversary of James Bond's introduction to the world in the first novel, Casino Royale. The Double O's will also see the longest-running, most successful film franchise celebrate 40 years on screen.

Although "The Double O's" came in first out of the names given, the most popular choice was "none of the above."
