I submitted this trivia to infernalmachine.net, and most is already there, so you may as well read them there :), but here it goes, anyway. :) Some trivia, some info, some bugs... :) BTW, there is a .GOB extractor available now on infernalmachine.net! All right then:

You can kill the lava-rock monsters, using Urgon's part. You need
to touch them with it, sometimes doing it a few times.

You can actually kill *any* creature in the game - with a
right-placed bazooka shot. This includes leopards, wolves, monkeys,
crabs... Hell, one time I shot a seagull high above me, and it went
down! It was lying on the ground, and it was still moving its wings.
It may have been a bug, but I *did* shoot it. :)

An interesting bug: if you jump into the "electrified" pool in Nub's
Tomb before switching it off, you can't get out, and when you get
close to bottom, Indy will suddenly... jump down and start walking
in water. He will have no hat on but otherwise he'll behave as if he
were on ground. :)

If you jump off the Pudovkin and swim a bit, you'll arrive in an
area where there will be... sky underwater. :) It's where the
texture ends and gets replaced with the one with the sky. :)

Another "nice" bug: in Tian Shan, you can go *up* the waterfall from
the cave with the lift! Then you'll arrive at the crushing machinery
- and it will be frozen! It will only be moving when you reach the
place from the other side, via the raft!

I think the actor doing Volodnikov's voice-overs mispronounces some
Russian words, apparently reading them from Latin transcription.

Indy (Doug Lee, that is :) mispronounces Marduk's name, saying it as
"Mare-duck". It should be pronounced as "Mahr-duke" or "Mah-duke".

The game designers transferred some Russian words wrongly to the
game's objects - for instance, the names of Leningrad and Russia are
spelled wrongly on Babylonian crates and posters on the ship
("Rsssija").

Tim Miller, whose name is on the roof of the switch house in
Solomon's mines, was the level designer. Also, inside the house you
can find a photo of a kid wearing Indy's fedora. I believe it's
Tim's (or another designer's) child. (I also wonder which photo on
the walls of the secret Monkey Island location shows Tim? They
should have put the names under the photos. :) Oh, and whose is that
dog among the photos? Maybe it's Henry Jones Sr.'s famous "Indiana"?
:)

Trivia: the hidden Monkey Island location in Aetherium is not
treated as reality, since Indy's (or Guybrush's :) aetherium
tolerance does not grow in there. :) More trivia - material objects
(such as Indy :) float in aetherium. But the programmers apparently
forgot about grenades - if you throw them into aetherium, they don't
float. :)

More trivia about the secret Peruvian level: when you reach the
place with two caves underwater, check out the boulder stuck in the
doorway... This is the original boulder from "Raiders", the one
whose chase after Indy inspired all similar scenes in adventure
movies and "Tomb Raider" games... :)

This is my solution for the memory-related bugs in the game, such as
wrong camera positioning, etc.: before running Indy, reset the comp
to get in a "clear" session, then simply shut down almost *every*
active windoze task and module. I use VT WizCrash to do it, because
it intercepts hidden tasks, too. After that, clear memory using
freeware MemClean or commercial FreeMem Pro (better). Now Indy
should run OK. This also solves similar problems with quite a number
of newer games. It simply frees and optimizes as much mem as it can.
:)

The console command "nub_willie" doesn't seem to work in patched
version 1.1.

Razor's trainer can screw up the game! Before you use it, save the
game, and after you've used it, press "L" to make sure that you can
use the lighter! If you can't take it out, it's best to reload the
game. You can regain the lighter after it disappears (I had to do it
once), but it takes a lot of fiddling with the files and / or the
trainer, or editing the savegame. Also, on some cards the trainer
buttons are not visible: just click on various areas in the
trainer's window then to find the right button; they are, from left,
"Start" / "Info" / "Exit". Or just don't use it. It spoils the game.
:) And anyway, there are the console codes. :)

It's years after "The Last Crusade", where, as everyone knows, Indy drank
from the Grail, thus becoming immortal! Why does Marduk welcome him with
these words, "Welcome to the Aetherium, *mortal*", then? Surely *he* can
sense immortality? ;)

It's 1947: what's Indy's scientific degree? Is he still a doctor? He's referred
to as "Dr Jones" a few times in the game. Hasn't he become a professor yet,
with all his achievements? Volodnikov seems to treat him as a professor.

Well, that's it for now. Indy is the game of the year for me, and I doubt if I see anything so enjoyable in 2000 (unless it will be Indy VI... :)
