GREAT topic Meg, as I have always wanted to know the answer myself on whether some kids get remembered. I get the feeling everyone is positively SICK with my ravings about Mr Pettit (my sincere apologies:-( but from what *I* get from it, it seems the trouble-makers get remembered the most...as well as revered. What I mean by that is that it seems verbal praise comes OFTEN to the students who don't do their work but then do it ONE time.
I am not trying to brag, but when it comes to History, I do my work on time, creatively, blah, blah, blah, and yet I finally realized that Mr Pettit doesn't CARE about my oversized (?!:-) brain compared to the others. I have so much as gotten a "Good job" or even an "Awesome" if I'm lucky, and I ask myself, "Does he HATE me?!"
I know the answer is no, but I can't help NOT to think if he'll forget about the Indy-crazed, artistic, witty student who did EVERYTHING right and to the absolute BEST of her abilities...........
(*pant! pant!!*>:-(
Adventurously,
Ulla
