Okay, these two aren't really Indy like exactly, but they capture the grand feeling of the old fashioned adventure. They are both from about 1975 or so, and star Sean Connery. They weren't extremely popular in their day, since Connery was still often associated with his former role as James Bond. But don't be fooled they are great movies (not as good as Indy though, IMHO).
The First is "The Wind and the Lion"- from MGM/UA, and co-stars Candice Bergen. It takes place in 1904 Morocco.
The second is "The Man Who Would Be King". - I believe it is a Fox Film. Michael Caine and Christopher Plummer co-star. It takes place in India circa 1890's or so.
Also chck out the Bogart Films "The Treasure of Sierra Madre" and "Casablanca".
