Bashing Open Crown Fedoras

Is it easy to bash your own hat? I've seen the instructions on the David Morgan page, but they aren't very specific. The new Indiana Miller Open Crown looks like it could be bashed to exacting specifications, but I've never done it before. Has anyone here done this? And if so, how? Specifics please.
