What happened to the Nazis?

I've seen "Raiders" at least a million times and part of what I love about it is that even after that many viewings I can still notice new things in it. This one occurred to me today and I thought I'd fly it by you all and see what you thought.

There are two Nazis that are not accounted for at the end. When Indy comes onto the island he grabs a short Nazi and knocks him out intent on stealing the creep's uniform. Turns out it's too small. Another Nazi comes along and Indy pounds him and takes his clothes instead.
Now, since these two guys are unconscious (we can assume since we never see them again) when the Ark is opened, they can't look upon the power of the Ark and are therefore exempt from the roasting that the other Nazis get. So at the end there should be four people still alive on that island; Indy, Marion and the two unconscious, half-naked Nazis. What do you think happened to them? Are they still sitting there in their underwear totally unaware that their side lost the war?
