Tim Confirmation

Tim Schafer's departure from LEC has been
confirmed by the company themselves.

"A LucasArts spokesperson has
confirmed with GameSpot News that
Tim Schafer, project leader at
LucasArts Entertainment, has
resigned"

you can read more about it at GameSpot
on another note his future in the gaming industry
has not been speculatd on ,we will no doubt all be
keeping an eye out for whatever future projects he
cares to put our way. Who knows whats next.

MI4 Confirmation

Here's the blurb i have recieved on the matter:

Remember Lucasarts revelutionary
interface, which first made its debut
in Grim Fandango? Well, a new,
improved version is set to be the
baby that powers Monkey Island 4.
Details are still sparse but Tim
Schafer has reportedly said they're
currently finalising the script.

So due out some time in 2001, it looks as though
the rumours were all true. we await LEC's press
release.

MI4 Confirmed!

Could it be true!!! The World of Monkey Island has
this information, saying that Tim Schafer has
confirmed the game in a magazine.

In the latest issue of the UK gaming
magazine "PC Zone" all of the
upcoming games for every genre has
been previewed. Among them are
Monkey Island 4! They say that Tim
Schafer had told them that they were
just finishing the script for Monkey
Island 4 and that the game would be
released some time between 2000
and 2001. It also said that it would
be in 3D like Grim Fandango.

Well - there you have it! See what you reckon!

Rumours galore

World of Monkey Island has printed an excerpt
article from a Danish gaming magazine: PcPlayer.

Ever since we in our Activate 99
report a few months ago mentioned
that Monkey Island 4 was on the
drawing board, we have been more
than buried with inquires from people
who want to know more about the
game. Therefore let's once again
point out that the game, at best, is
at a very early stage in production
and therefore probably won't be
released within the next year. The
same thing goes for another
mentioned, but highly unofficial title
from LucasArts, and that is Full
Throttle 2

Very Interesting rumours.... especialy the
Fulthrottle sequal... hmmmm. As for the reliablility
of the magazine, who can tell? But we can hope.
