Given that Indiana Jones has displayed such proven skill at learning an mastering languages, I think he'd most likely have been asked to assist in code breaking. As noted before, the Nazi's definitely know his face, making him an excellent TARGET as a field agent. Although he could also be the perfect demolitions man for the allies as well. Every room this guy seems to go into crumbles around him. Plant this guy in the Reich Chancellory, and war's over fellas. ( I wonder what's holding up Barnett College? ) hehe

: : Hey,

: : Here's a question on an area of Indy's life that's kind of bugged me for a while. Most of Indy's life up until 1940/41 has been "officially" covered by Lucasfilms licensed products whether it be movies, television, comics or novels - with occasional missing elements (his time with Abner etc.). The recent speculation for Indy IV is that it will be set in the late 40's or 50's, also the Infernal Machine is set in the late 40's. An awful lot of fanfic - including my own efforts are also set in this time frame. Now, what about the Second World War? Has that ever been covered in any way by anyone? Surely Indy, with his hatred of Nazis would have done some thing in the Allied war effort?

: : Any light shone on this subject would be most appreciated.

: : Seeya

: : Hannibal

: Hey. Maybe Indy sold War Bonds. No, seriously. I always figured he'd work for Army intellegence. With his knowledge of languages and his known anti-Nazi stance, Indy would've made a great intellegence man. He was probably too well known due to his many run-ins with the Nazis to be an effective field agent, though. This is all pure conjecture on my part. I'd like to hear what others think.
