: They do come off as sorta gay. Let's look at them individually.

: Toht- Has a creepy, kinda gay grin on his face when he says to Marion "What shall we talk about?" in the tent. He'd be a scary gay guy into S&M and bondage and stuff. Definately has a gay laugh.

: Deitrich- Throws a hissy fit when they can't find Jones on the boat. Can't understand Belloq's attraction to Marion.

: Goebbler- He seems straight except he's always following Deitrich around.

: Vogel- Has a gay-ish look on his face as he's stroking his cheek with the riding crop after he ties up Indy and Henry. He's scary. Makes a good boyfriend for Toht.

: The German mechanic- strips half-naked before he fights Indy by the Flying Wing. Although I dare anyone to go up to him and call him gay.

: The only really macho, straight German I can think of in any of the Indy films is that guy who throws Indy through the windshield of the truck. Like they used to say about Clark Gable, he's so manly you can practically hear his balls clanking together.
