From what I could see of it, it appeared to me to be made of vellum tracing paper, which the higher grade type is usually made from animal "rendering", and is very resillant in water. It probably didn't completely repel the water, but it can and does dry very quickly to it's original condition. I used to draft on this stuff years ago. It took ink very well, and repeled spilled coffee very well too. (grins) Regards. Michaelson
