As are many Quantum Physicists. The current theories on physics don't leave room a totally non-spiritual universe. Of course, those implications are open to a number of interpretations, but any good scientist will tell you that only one can be true.
To say that scientists have no biases is like saying they aren't human. All human's have biases... look at what happens when someone comes up with a new theory... the rest of the scientific community acts like it's heresy and works up into a religious frenzy.
Sorry to say it, but science is a very biased faith system.
