I and many others here on the forum have seen this too in all the movies. I know Steven Speilburg is very much into detail with all his movies, very thourough. My opinion is that he may have used different hats depending on the surroundings (of course all of them being fedoras with very similair but different characteristics). I don't know if its a scenery thing, or if at some points in the movie Mr Speilburg wanted the hat to stand out more, some scenes not so much. It seems this would be likely, but this is my opinion any others would be appreciated.
