Indiana Miller Question

I saw the website at Miller hats and they do say 5 5/8 open crown on the unbashed hat. I was thinking though, that once it is bashed, it will be down to the 4 5/8 range. Thoughts?

By the way, I still love my stetson 505 and wear it daily. The only thing I would change is the height and it is close now, nearly five inches
