G'day! These are real historical figures, though roughly separated in time by 1300 years. Who cares, it's Hollywood...! :)
Imhotep was vizier and architect to the third dynasty pharaoh Djoser I. He built Djoser's so called stepped pyramid at Saqqara, the first pyramid in Egypt, essentially (actually a bunch of smaller and smaller mastaba tombs stacked on top of each other).
Seti I was a 19th dynasty pharaoh, prolly best known for being Ramesses II's father, and for his Hittite/Syrian campaigns (battle of Kadesh).
