I saw Austin Powers post on getting a Miller, so I ordered
one too, using their on-line form. In the special instructions,
I stated that the hatband should be 1 1/2" dark brown and pre-
ferably a petersham. This was really just a test as their ad claims
they researched the movies and are offering the closest replica.
Anyway, Mr. Miller e-mailed back saying the hatband is 1 3/4"
grosgrain and did I still want the hat. So, this time I called
them and got Stephanie I think, and told her yes, I still want the
hat and by the way, could they dimensionly cut the brim 2 3/4"
front and back and 2 5/8" each side for $10. She said OK and that
they expected the hats in within a week.
That was like last Tuesday. Friday Stephanie left a voice mail
at work. I called her back and she said they had a Indy Miller in
my size (7 5/8) and they were not doing dimensional cuts on the
brim, so did I still want it. I said yes, send me the hat! She said
it would go out tomorrow, the 7th, so maybe I'll get it by Friday.
I'll get out the "Patterson Plan" and my Exacto knife and do
the brim cut myself. I asked for the un-bashed version.

Anyway, that's been my dealings with Miller.

Good luck with yours.

Ellison
