Lifesize Ark of the Covenant

I thinking of trying to make a lifesize ark. I have a Bible which gives a very good description of the ark. Does anyone know where I can get Shit-Im wood. Ive never heard of that wood but there it is right in the Bible. I will first make it out of wood as the bible says then cover with metal and spray paint with gold, then I will place two golden eagles on the top. Hopefully I can find some on the net about the right size I dont care if therye pink i'll spray it gold place it on top the get those wooden poles carve them to the right size, get that paint that makes it look like it has an old kinda shiny finish. Then get some silken material and cover the poles with the silk. If you look at the pics on some books of IJ you can see that theirs did have some sort of silken material.
