The similarities of the opening sequence of Raiders of the Lost Ark and E.T. -- The Extra Terrestrial

Hey, I just thought of this yesterday when I was watching Raiders and
E.T. yesterday!

Do you realise that both aformentioned movies feature an opening
sequence where a number of people (Hovitos, scientists with
flashlights) are chasing after the main hero (Indy, E.T.) in a forest
setting (Peruvian jungle, Californian forest). Man, the
similarities!! :)
