: OK, so Indy sees a snake next to Willie in TOD and jumps about six feet into the air, he falls into a pit of snakes and looks terrified of the cobra... But he is not at all scared to reach in, past a snake, to get the "Peacock's Eye" box in YIJC and he's angry but not afraid to be sitting in an enclosed spack with one on Jock's plane.

: And there are snakes on the Dinner table @ Pankot and he doesn't blink...

: Apart from moments of shoddy writing, how come Indy is sometimes depicted as debilitatingly afraid of snakes and at other times he's not even mildly concerned?

First of all those arent snakes in ToD those are eels in YIJC TOPE i always tought he developed his fear of snakes because a snake bit him....SERIOUSLY...YOU CANT BE AFFRAID OF SNAKES BECAUSE YOU FELL IN A PILE OF THEM!?...AND THAT WAS ONE TIME!...so i tought something else happened..also..in raiders he is affraid of the snake but he is also angry....
