: Hello anyone and everyone,
: I am going to use my steampot in the kitchen to try and re-form my Indy 005 that I had bought a while back before the Indiana Miller came out. I mean if I totally ruin the hat, I can always buy a Indiana Miller which is probably better anyway right?

If you do it right, you won't have to worry about ruining the hat. A Fur Felt hat can always be re-shaped over and over again, although I personally would recommend using cold water and a spray bottle, that way the felt won't shrink (not that it does with steam, but there is more of a risk that way). Remember to let it dry naturally at room temperature either way, as outside heat sources can cause the felt to shrink as well. I just re-shaped my Stetson Temple again last night, and it looks 20 times better than it did. Just remember, if you mess up and when it dries you don't think it looks right, just wet it (or steam it) and try again! Good Luck!
