Force 10 from Navarone- Old Enemies...

As I sat down to eat my luch here today...I searched my video archives and came across the 1978 film Force 10 from Navarone starring Robert Shaw and our old friend Harrison Ford. It was the rather poor sequel to The Guns of Navarone starring Gregory Peck (1961?) and I was surprised when I saw the Nazi Major (the first german baddie in the movie) it was none other than Micheal Byrne aka Colonel Vogel from Last Crusade. At first I wasn't sure it was him...after all he was about 10 years younger, but I checked the credits...it's him. Kinda funny...he was in two movies with Harrison Ford, both times he played a Nazi (although in Force 10 he plays a much less menacing German Army Major...not a villianous SS Colonel). Just kinda interesting if you ask me...and if you get a chance, I'd say watching it would be worth while...although don't make the same mistake I did...rent...don't waste your money on this movie, I bought it and I must say it was probably only worth $5 out of the $10 I spent, an ok movie, but definately not Ford's (or anyone else's) best work.
