: Anyone ever been there? whats it really look like inside?

The stone facade of which you speak is at the site of Petra in the Petra Basin of the country of Jordan. It, among many others, was carved into the sandstone cliffs by the Nabataean society sometime in the early centuries AD. The particular facade in the movie is the Khazna (treasury). Inside it is much smaller and darker than the movies portrays because it was basically a storage area. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the University of Toronto spent part of last field season there doing some study on the non-elite inhabitants of ancient Petra.
