Technically yes with widescreen you do see the whole movie,
but after watching both versions of the Last Crusade I'd have to
say the pan and scan version is better. Tv's only have 400-500 lines of resolution so to take a movie shrink it all so that you can see more is crazy. That's taking their faces and making the smaller. If this was HD tv or somthing then maybe but with our tv's this is like deleting detail. Yes you see more but you see it in way less detail then in Pan and Scan, with pan and scan you see what's important and in greater detail then WS. The original film is photographic quality
(virtaull higher resolution than NSTC or PAl and so zooming in on the needed elements is not hindered.
