I'm signed up with this thing at starwars.com called "The Homing
Beacon" which is a newsletter with lots of Star Wars news and so on.
I received this Homing Beacon today in my e-mail, and Lucas said in a
question and answer session:

"I'm climbing this big mountain," Lucas said, "which has taken me
10 years at a stretch to do it. Right now I'm just concentrating on
getting up the mountain. I've got two more films to finish, and then
I'll be at the top. Five years from now I'm going to be doing a lot of
different things--most of it will probably be television because I
like that a lot. And more internet television which I'm trying to put
together."
Asked what type of projects he may pursue, Lucas replied, "They're
historical series, very much like the Young Indiana Jones series,
which I really had a lot of fun doing. I want to do things that are
not really attached to a network, where I don't have to make
compromises. It will be pretty esoteric. I don't know how popular
it'll be, but it's something I want to do. I figure that when I get
done with Star Wars, I'll have earned the right to do it. I will have
put together my own stockpile of production money to do pretty much
whatever I want to do."

No signs of Indy IV! A bad
