The shame is that he only did two that were in period, "The Hound of
the Baskervilles" and "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes". The rest,
though inferior, were entertaining. Brett is the only one, to his
credit, before he died, to have filmed the Doyle stories the most
faithfully. And he did look just like those original "Strand" illustrations.
