I was wondering. I read today that since January 1, of this year Great Britain has been forced to go with the metric system for weights and measures, some exemptions though. Draught beer will still be sold in pints, road signs will remain in miles, and precious metals will be measured in troy ounces. I've heard that (in U.S. Dollars) retailers and business can be fined up to $8,000 and possible imprisonment for using imperial weights and measurements. So when ordering a Wested jacket from Peter, or clothing from Noel Howard should we start sending Metric measurements instead of imperial measurements (inches)? I think it is crazy bureaucracy on Britains part, but they seem to be serious, and we wouldn't want to see our clothiers fined and jailed. I am not sure if Peter or Noel are using metric yet, but I sent my Wested measurements using inches. Any thoughts on this?

Sincerely,

S William
