: : : Anybody ever notice that the X in Last Crusade disappears off the floor as soon as Indy starts banging on it?
: : : The only time it shows up is when Indy climbs the stairs and looks down, it isn't there the rest of the time.

: : : Is Indy's role model, the guy with the fedora at the beginning of LC, wearing INdy's jacket? The shirt definitely looks different, but the jacket and the hat (obviously) as well as the pants look pretty close.

: : I have heard about the missing X on this forum before, so when I bought the Last Crusade on video I looked for this. But the X is always there, from the moment they walk into that part of the library. It's just that, when viewed from shallow angles, it nearly blends with the surrounding floor tiles. That's why Indy walks around it a bit, trying to get a look from different angles, and finally mounts the stairs. He couldn't see it clearly from the ground level--it looks like a shadow from these angles. If you look very closely when they walk into the room, you can faintly see it. It is most clear after Indy breaks the tile, and is lifting the tile up--in these frames, the shot is wide enough so that you can see the entire X--again, it is as faint as a shadow.

As for the hat and coat - the hat is slightly tapered and has the wrong bash. Also, I believe the brim is bound. The jacket is too long. Aldo, I beleive it is black and has a snap-down collar.

Cheers!
