pre-indyan stories

Where to find literature and movies pre-indyan? I remember seeing one film made maybe in sixties or seventies with whitesuited guy running all around in the Indy-like adventure as a child. And I have found one of the Indytraps (the one in the temple of Doom when the ceiling full of spikes is coming at them) in some old serial with adventuring lady. It was called Perils of Nyoka or something like that. From short stories and novels I have found one Conan-shortstory called Gwalhur's Jewels which is WONDERFULLY Indyan! Of course with a Howardian twist but still. Then there is King Solomon's Mines, which I haven't read but I have watched. Must be one of the most humorously bad movies I've ever seen.
