Yes, the whips in the movies were darker due to use, treatment with - yes, you guessed it - Pecard dressing, and exposure to both the sun and humid envirenments. Your's is probably a dark golden tan?

So, did you get the 8, 10, or 12 footer? Yes, they do have some good weight to them. They are VERY easy to crack, and feel great in the hand.

Enjoy! You've bought the best. Make sure to give it the Pecard treatment to keep it from drying out. Just ask David how to take care of it and you'll be fine.
