: Gather 'round youngsters, and let me tell you of a bygone era. The 1980s! Yes, yes, I know some of you weren't even born until the mid 80s, and you have no idea how old that makes me feel. Anyhow, my subject today is cereal. No, really. You see, back in the old days, back when Madison Avenue was obviously run by a bunch of quasi-intellegent apes, every movie that came out had a cereal attached to it. Oh, I remember many a Saturday morning when I'd sit around in my Han Solo underoos eating ET cereal while watching USA's Cartoon Express. Does anyone remeber an Indiana Jones related cereal? I'm pretty sure one must have existed. I remember Superman cereal, ET cereal and even the short-lived Star Wars cereal. And just when you thought we'd exhausted every possible Indy-related subject....

: PS My email company has informed me that they are "upgrading." Upgrading meaning "not working." So if anyone has emailed me in the past week, I apologize for not answering. Unless you were sending me threatening emails. Bud-Arc, I'm looking in your direction!

Now I was born in '77, so I'm not old, and I have to say that this brings back memories. I really have to thank you graml. In fact, I recently found some of my old vhs tapes with episodes of Scooby Doo taped from USA's cartoon express. God, the memories are flooding back....Alvin and the Chipmunks, the Real Ghostbusters, the Smurfs, the Snorkels, He-Man ( one of my personal fav's of the time ), the ORIGINAL Transformers (no one beats Optimus Prime, Ironhide, and Wheeljack!!), and M.A.S.K. (computer, scan personnel files to select mask agents best suited for this mission, Bruce Sato pre-selected (wasn't he always? :) ) Some of them I think made their way onto the cartoon express when their popularity waned somewhat. Don't forget the other cool stuff from the 80's like the A-Team, Battlestar Galactica, the Dukes of Hazzard ( another obsession in my bygone childhood ), and Knight Rider ( TURBO BOOST!!! who could forget that hair! ). Thanks graml for this brief foray into the days when my life consisted of making sure my parents got us home in time to watch the Dukes of Hazzard...life was just so much simpler then...I'll stop babbling now...

Regards,
Brian K.
