Hey. That happened to my whip too. I've just plain stopped using it, because I didn't know if there was any way to correct it. When I got it back in '93, I used it so often that my neighbors started to complain. I oiled it after it got wet, but so far I have not heard what to do about fraying or stretching. I sure hope someone has an answer. Sorry about not answering....
