I think each company have their own terms for the finish of their felt hats. The ultra is probably a little softer felt to the touch. My GW fedora was advertised as a cashmere finish which is softer than the finish on my Stetsons and Miller Indy. The Akubra I own has a harder finish, if you know what I mean. regards, Steve
