It's a very good question. M'lord or Your Honour.I think the problems
probably started when John Logie Baird infiltrated our then dull existances.
Now what with viewers in the UK being able to see things like LA Law
and Ally McBeal and our US counterparts sitting through endless repeats of Rumpole of the Bailey (If I may take your particular favourite)then the youth of today can hardly be expected to know whether there in LA or Blanou Ffestiniog.
Anyway what do I know,I'm only a horse in a field somewhere in Ireland.
