Hey, Hannibal. You've been able to boil down (in just eight words, I might add) what makes Indy work. I couldn't agree more. As long as the bad guys wear spiffy uniforms and shout in a foreign language, what matter is it that they are Soviets, Nazis, Spanish Fascists or Maoists? Your point about Roger Moore is well taken; as long as Bond gets the girl (or Indy gets the relic, in our case), I think I'll be happy. I've also noticed that a lot of folks want to see Henry Sr back. I can't understand why; the father vs son bit was resolved in Last Crusade. And I'm going to miss Sallah, but I don't want him included if my imagination has to be stretched too far. I sincerely doubt that the "best digger in Cairo" would bother sneaking into Soviet-held territory in the 1950s.
