: No Mack, it was really no problem at all. I had one of those Lonely Planet phrasebooks for the Thai language but that thing sat in my pack the whole time. I was roaming around by myself and I was totally amazed by the ability of the Thais to know some English. A lot of the signs have English on them as well. I think it's because so many Australians head up there for vacations. -MP
