The Mummy II to follow in Indy's footsteps?

Popcorn interviewed Oded Fehr who played the leader of the desert guardians in the Mummy. In it he mentions that one of the new characters will be a kid. It's not going to be a prequel, but it still sounds like Temple doesn't it?

For all those of you who hated Short Round, this might be bad news.

As for me, I'm excited to see the Mummy II. I think they'll do at least as good a job as the first movie.
