:Put the holster on his left hip as a crossdraw, which is still accessable to the left hand using a twist or "cavalry" draw. The whip should be moved to the right hip, with the handle in the whip holder facing rearward. This would allow the whip to be grasped with the right hand and be unsnapped with the right thumb.
