You're forgetting the following things:

1. Lara was born to an aristocratic family and is nothing more than a money wasting grave robber.
2. She's afraid of corgis. I mean, corgis? Snakes I can understand, but if you have something against Lassie, then there's something wrong with you.
3. Lara was made to appeal to the dorks who want to spend time making posting on the internet wanting to know how to get Lara nekkid on their PSX.
4. Tomb Raider ripped off Indy from the boulder traps to the boat chase in Venice to the actual tomb raiding.
5. Indy's only physical bring down is the fact that he's old and travelled. Lara has to deal with the aforementioned DD cups that make her bounce off the wall she's clinging to by her fingernails.

Indy is by far the superior character, and if he was made feminine, it would fail and we'd wish for the Old Glory ass kicker that is male heroism. Lara is just a rich bitch with an exotic hobby. Nothing compares to the Doctor.
