: If you had read the novel, you would know that he has lost his
: whip (he tied himself up on the scope of that german sub.)
: and his hat (left on the ship). In the movie you can see that
: at the end Indy wears a grey fedora.

: I think this all was worth if he could see the ark.

Well, to just toss more sand in the machinery, if you'll recall he was wearing his grey fedora on the flying boat heading to Napal. Where did THAT fedora end up, as he never returned to the States after leaving for that location, but continued on to Egypt, then home. Is he wearing the same fedora in the last scene, and if so, was it stored with his luggage and suit at Sallah's after arriving in Egypt? (That is my theory, by the way) Another question....when he was standing on the top of the Well of Souls dig site, waiting for the diggers to break through the roof entrance, we see him pick up his fedora and pull it tight on his head. We then see him with full gear of fedora and jacket in the very next scene. Where were THESE stored when he was dressed in the Arab disguise, as anyone who owns the Mark VII bag KNOWS that there is hardly enough room for your gloves in there, let alone a fedora and/or jacket? Nit pick nit pick (grins) And bottom line, does it really matter? Well, once again that depends....(grins again) Regards. Michaelson
