Thanks everyone for your input. You're a reliable bunch...(sniff) really. I'm touched. The last post gave me an idea for a closure---it was (and may still be) used on military equipment. Equipment belts had these fasteners. It was metal hardware consisting of a metal pin with a round head. It would fit into the adjoining hole that pinched shut. I had a "utility-belt" that had these clasps, and there is NO WAY jumping, swinging, punching, diving, dragging, statue-riding, etc. would pop it open. However, 1)short of cutting them off military surplus---where do you get them? 2) it's resistance may not be ideal for those who fancy needing their bullwhip quick; 3) it's as authentic as a white Elton John fedora with colorful plumes. Hey, at least the ideas are flowing.... any more out there?
