: To those fortunate individuals who own a Herbert Johnson fedora I pose these questions: 1) I've noticed in the pictures posted in Indy Gear/Indy's Diggs that the "bow" (if you can call it that) on the ribbon doesn't look tacked down. Is that true? 2) how is the lining secured inside the hat; 3) what sort of sweatband does it have (strip of fabric, woven, strip of leather, leatherette, undigested cowhide with a stressed-out lambskin lining?
: Thanks
: Gregg

Here goes...
I've seen 2...one that i recieved 8 months ago and had to send back and the one i just recently got. On the first the bow, while stiched down, was "offset" a little in the front and back. The new one is a little higher in the back (as the film hats and most other hats are) but the front is nice and even! Which i'm lovin.
The band is leather.
not sure how the liner is held down...seems to be glued.
Hope that helps
Tom
