: : Hey, all! I just got my Indy shirt, pants, and bag from Noel Howard today... Noel sent me an e-mail saying he mailed my stuff on the 12th, and I got it today...pretty quick!! Here's my question (for Michaelson, if you're out there, or anyone else if you're not!); Michaelson states in IndyGear bag FAQ that he tosses the bag, less the strap, into the wash... HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE STRAP? My bag, even though straight from Noel, looks like it could use a good cleaning, but the strap appears to be permanently attached... can anyone help? (Now if I could only get my Wested, which I've been waiting 11+ weeks for, my IndyGear would be complete!!)

: Bear in mind that when I wrote that, it was before the bag and strap was available from Mr. Howard. Most of the straps have been attached with a screw in post that allows removal. I'd email Noel and ask what he's currently putting on the straps when attaching to the bag. Regards. Michaelson

The existing rivets used can be removed easily with the CAREFUL use of tin snips. Any tack or saddlery shop can supply Chicago screws to replace them with. They're more durable then the rivets anyway, and removing the strap is a breeze. Also, they're usually about $0.25-$0.35 each.

Cheers!

Patterson
