: Has anyone every heard the reasoning behind Indy wearing a Tie in Last Crusade? Is is because she's going to be meeting his father? Any information that a scene was cut addressing this?

In the 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' storybook (by Anne Digby, 1989) you can see a still (from a scene cut from final version) that shows Indy and Marcus sitting at a table en route to Venice. They are on board of a transport and are being served drinks (here we go again :) ) by a stewardess. Indy is already wearing his tie and good suit. I guess Indy wants to look spiffy for his meeting with Dr Schneider. Also, I imagine Indy intends to blend with all the tourists in Venice, so he chooses classy attire. But maybe that's reading too much into it. After all, it's just a movie... Fall Guy
