Hey, you know what I always thought would be cool in the Star Wars flicks? For there to be a "light-whip," which would basically be like a lightsaber or laser-blaster thing, except that it would come out of the hilt of the whip and lash out at people, tearing them in half (a la Maul). But, hey, this sounds like the next best thing! :)
