I have all three indy laserdiscs in widescreen. They are the exact same size as a record album. THe quality is the almost the same as a DVD. Crystal clear, great sound. Definitly far better than VHS.Micah pointed out the disadvantages already. Flipping and changing them does suck. Though I would prefer DVD, they will do just fine untill then. At least they will never wear out.

By the way, I have all three Star Wars special edition laserdiscs. Quite spectacular!
