Granted that Raiders is my favorite movie, Karen Allen
is NOT a woman of Celtic descent, though she does get points for
originally suggesting that Marion should be a redhead, though
Spielberg said "no" to the idea. Source? An interview in
Rolling Stone magazine from June 25, 1981.

She says: "At first,I thought that flaming red hair
would fit such a fiery heroine. But Steven blotted out my
freckles and gave me a jet-black wig and that was it."
