: While waiting for my Wested (it's been over 2 1/2 yrs and counting) I was wondering if it should never be exposed to rain (of course unless it's been waterproofed)?

: Has Peter suggested anything for waterproofing (without making it into a gloppy oily mess)?

: Thanx as usual!

Hi Andrea. Peter said that a soaking won't harm the jacket, but does indeed suggest a foam type leather dressing that should be applied after the jacket completely drys, assuming you plan to not have it slowly age with use. I'd have to check what the heck the stuff is called, because I have 6 cans at the house and don't remember the name of it. Anyway, reports have it the rain will not harm this leather due to high quality grain of the skin. regards. Michaelson
