There was also a large amount of leggless lizards in the Well of Souls scene. A legless lizard is sometimes called a glass snake because while it looks almost identical to a snake, they differ in that they can lose or "break" the tail and regrow it. A snake cannot. Also they have ear holes. I used to catch lots as a kid here in Florida. They can usually be found in dense saw grass and under brush which is where they burrow. If memory serves me correct there is an extreme close up of one right before the python strikes out at the other one on the Well of the Souls. But that still doesn't answer the question of how all those snakes stay alive. Perhaps its the life giving properties of the Ark. :-)
