Gun & Whip chronology

Do we know from where he picked up his S&W, Colt, and Webley? In YIJC, he obviously had guns. Did one of these carry over to ToD, where he loses one. Where does he pick up the Raiders guns, and then where does the Webley come from? Is this described, or may it be an oversight by the producers.

The Whip:
We see him with the whip when he is on the train at 12 or 13 I think (Last Crusade).
Next, he has one when he is sixteen in Mexico (YIJC - Curse of the Jackal). In both cases I do not see him take the whip with him. Again, is this an oversight. Is it known when in fact he first obtained the whip?
