: The actor(s) should be "unknown" for two reasons. 1)we wouldn't associate them with their other work (Darth Vaders voice, or Casey Kasem as Robin the Boy Wonder, for example) and would give greater attention to their present character; 2) our "hotlist," Blockbuster-favorites are a heapload of trash.
: A good example how it can work out so well-----the Indiana Jones Chronicles; for the most part the supporting cast is fantastic. Those actors ranged from the lesser-known to the unknown. Casting should be based on ability, THEN their look for the role, and lastly "ticket draw." But then again, that kind of confidence would necessitate good writing and sound production work. Hollywood's too fat and lazy, and unfortuately our general populace is content to eat their junk like a redneck eats jerky. "Das good eatin' Maw!"
: That's my take. Not looking forward to the next blasphemous strike against Indiana Jones with #4. Hell!...I'm still fuming mad about Crusade!

It's always good to see a fresh and talented face. In this case,
I actually think Rickman could be a good choice. Although he is a
somewhat familiar face, I don't think that most moviegoers would
recognize him immediately as the psycho from 'Die Hard' or the
raving mad villain from 'Robin Hood'.
As for LC, it was obviously taylord to cater to the masses. What
still makes me mad are Sallah's and Marcus' dumbed down versions.
I guess a quick (not to say "cheap") laugh sells rather well...
The two things that saved the movie were the father/son relation-
ship and the tank chase.
Personally, I would like to see a return to the "lean" 'Raiders'-
style.
