Has anyone seen the animated Clerks episode that spoofed the Temple oF Doom? Unfortunately it wasn't one of the 2 eps that ABC aired before they pulled the plug (it is one of the 4 unaired eps). Anyway, it was hilarious! Randall gets the high score on a video game that involves pushing large stones into place to build pyramids and gets taken away by the creators of the game, supposedly for some great purpose (a la Last Starfighter). What happens, however, is he gets put to work moving large stones in a mine that is based on Temple of Doom. After that it's one ToD in-joke after the other: his friend Dante goes searching for him and comes across a village where all of the children have been kidnapped from (and put to work in the mines); they meet up with a Mola Ram type guy who removes the heart from one of the slaves; etc, etc.

For those who are familiar with Kevin Smith's work, he almost always works a Lucasfilm/Star Wars reference into whatever he does. In one of the other Clerks eps (one of the 2 that aired). Dante and Randall are on trial and Randall begins calling witnesses in. First he calls Lucas and demands his $8 back that he spent seeing the Phantom Menace (Lucas trying to explain why Jar Jar was funny was a great bit). Then he calls Speilberg up and demands his $8 back for Hook.

All 6 Clerks eps are due out on video and DVD at some point in the future. They are worth checking out.
